William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board Meeting to share our Fulbright experience. In my presentation, spoke of the vast exposure (academic and non-academic) that the Fulbright opportunity presents to a foreign student in the United States. I also highlighted the fact that the objectives of the Fulbright program were still very relevant even in a fast changing world… Elena Sivets of Russia, who is studying Intercultural/Multicultural & Diversity Studies at George Mason University Officially defined as international academic exchange, Fulbright – for me - is much more than just an educational program. Of course its academic value can not be underestimated: studying in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, I have obtained accesses to huge research databases from all over the world. However, there is another kind of knowledge the Fulbright gave me: awareness of cultures, of people and of myself....
